Current limitations

Where the platform is honest about its edges.

  • Lobbyist Register detail pages

    The Federal Lobbyist Register source has been verified, but full extraction is limited by the official site's JavaScript application. Folio currently stores the verified source snapshot and flags the extraction gap transparently.

  • Cross-dataset matching

    Matches without an ABN or common identifier are held in a manual review queue rather than linked automatically. This preserves accuracy at the cost of coverage.

  • Historical coverage

    Folio starts from the earliest publication date offered by each publisher. Where a publisher only exposes recent data, older records are not shown.

  • No inference, no scoring

    Folio does not compute risk scores, corruption indexes, or automated summaries. Users are responsible for interpreting the linked records.

  1. NowComplete rendered-fetch extraction for the Federal Register of Lobbyists detail pages.
  2. NextDeeper parsing of parliamentary interest sub-sections (shareholdings, real estate, gifts) into structured events.
  3. LaterState and territory public records (donations, contracts, lobbying) once federal coverage is complete and verified.
  4. LaterBulk export APIs for research institutions.
